What you need to know
What are the lifestyle benefits of being a Strawberry member? [+]
How do I become a Strawberry member? [+]
Whomever approaches us to become a member we will get to know you first. We want to house people together who we feel will gel and become great housemates
and friends. We will show you our appropriate rooms available to meet your needs and those of the current residents.
The first time you contact us you will meet one of our team to discuss your needs. We can tailor this around your availability. You can tell us your likes and dislikes, who you are as a person and what you enjoy, and we can give you some guidance as to if you would fit in with our current household vacancies.
How do viewings work? [+]
We will show you around all the rooms you like the look and sound of, as long as we feel you will integrate well within the current members living there. We value our members and want to keep them happy.
How do I reserve a room? [+]
Once you have fallen in love with a room and would like to move in you will need to take it off the market! To do this you need to let us know which one you’d like to reserve, we will send you a link to reserve this room via email. Once you have supplied all of your details on this online form you will need to pay a reservation or holding fee of one weeks rent (this goes towards your deposit which will be one months rent). Your room is then secure as long as all the other administration is completed within 7 days.
To join our community and access all your discounts there is a joining fee of £200. Deposit is one month’s rent held in the DPS and you pay your first month’s rent up front.
What prices do your rooms range between? [+]
Most of our rooms are ensuite and range between £450 – £850 a room per month. This includes all utility bills, broadband and council tax along with a regular cleaner to communal areas and a SMART TV in your room along with one in your communal living area.
What is the process to book a room? [+]
First, you start with a viewing. If you like what you see we have a super fast electronic system to sort all your credit checks, references and contracts within 3 working days on average! We can also take card payments if you would like the option to pay by card, and we take all monthly rental payments by direct debit. All contracts used are assured shorthold tenancy agreements (AST) written by the National Landlord Association (NLA).
Do you take a deposit? [+]
Yes. One months rent. This is secured in the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) so it is fair and safe for all involved.
What is check-in? [+]
We meet you at a convenient time to go through your new room and house with you and make sure all your questions are answered. We show you around the communal area and show you how all the appliances work. We take you through recycling/refuse collection days, cleaning days, utilities use, stops taps, emergency numbers and a host of other bits and pieces. The key is to make you feel right at home as well as safe and secure. Most of our houses have keyless security entry so this will be taught you on the day.
What about new housemates? [+]
As long as you are happy when we book your check in we will let all your new housemates know. We will ask them if we can share their details with you or join
the social media chat group so you can begin to learn about your community as a group.
